This sculptural vessel is one of a series, each piece unique, made out of the concern that climate change / human impact is having on our oceans.
I chose porcelain because it is beautiful, pure, precious, tough and yet so delicate - much like coral and shells! This piece has been cast from a handmade, carved mould, then altered. The micro-crystal glaze was chosen & applied carefully as I wanted the colour to represent the beautiful blue an ocean can be and also have the right consistency and fluidity.
