These sessions are for those who have attended a previous course with Clare or elsewhere &/or have previous clay experience. Those wishing to also practice wheel throwing, must have some previous taught experience on the wheel (a single workshop is enough).

They are "drop in" so you may arrive and leave at whatever time suits during the session on the day you have booked.

The idea of these non-teaching sessions (up to 4 hrs) is to provide pottery-studio space, practice time, equipment & a relaxed atmosphere on Saturday mornings to those that wish to practice pottery outside of or in addition to, formal classes. 

Membership is free and required for these sessions. Please fill in a membership form at your first session.

There will be No Formal Teaching but Clare will be working in the studio and therefore on-hand to help or answer questions (within reason). 

What's Provided?

• Space to work
  
• 3 x pottery wheels (booking system applies)
  
• A large range of tools, brushes etc
• Shelf space for drying your work
• Pottery Kiln to fire your pots (booking & firing fee applies)
• Glazing equipment and glazes for sale.
• A cubby space to store your work/tools (if required).
• Tea and Coffee facilities

• An apron - named
  
• A large towel, if wheel throwing - named

• Clay (can be purchased, at cost, from Clare)
  
• Any clay tools or texture tools you wish to bring (please mark with your name) 
• Underglazes (please discuss with Clare before purchasing)
• Glazes (please discuss with Clare before purchasing)

Please Note: Members will need to wedge their own clay to work with, then recycle their clay and clean up their areas, wash dry & put away any tools/equipment used etc, before the end of each session.
